What an excuse for boredom!! You could create a routine but boredom is a state of mind, and do you know what?.... I have so many people who want to talk to ME only when they're bored........I'm never bored, there's so much to be doing in life there's not even enough hours in the day.
If you can't sleep. best thing to do is 'accept it' then go find something to do.... so pointless lying in bed thinking about not being able to get to sleep.
