But Pollock country park is so big it is dead easy to hide a tent in there.

By the way if anyone does not want to pay for a hotel you can always flycamp in Pollock country park which is only three miles south of the city centre. It is a very large area with lots of secluded wooded areas. I was up there a few years ago for a few days at the anti-M77 protest camp.

Please don't advise people on what to do in Scotland Greystone.....I think anybody that wants to go will be perfectly capable of finding somewhere cheap to stay with the help of us who actually live up here

And yhou wondered why you werent allowed to go last time. stop witht he sugestions on camping, hostels etc.
If people are coming then i am sure they are more than happy to go and sleep in a nice warm hotel room not in a tent in the middle of nowhere. i think people have a little bit more class than that. now if we were organising a camping meet it would be a different matter, but were not so please keep your sugestions to yourself.

It is only a suggestion for those on a tight budget. As getting up there will cost a lot in the first place without accomadation costs. Also it is only for one night, plus it will be summer so ideal weather for the outdoors.

I would suggest you don't push it Stoney, don't want a repeat of last time.

Regardless tho', the thought of camping for a night or 2 in the summer is actually tempting. Haven't been camping since I was a kid. It's food for thought
