Fantastic Four was dreadful.

Oh, and a friend of mine took his kids to see the new Mr Bean movie and said it was probably the worst film he'd seen in years.

Street Fighter is another bad movie. Lame acting. I've hear Jean Claude Van damme didn't even like it. I don't blame him.

I've seen plenty of terrible kung fu movies (I still love them)- the kind that repeat 'action' scenes at least three times to save on money.

Plan B from out of Space is dreadful, but I'm sure someone will like it because it's so rubbish (I tried to watch it in 2 attempts but fell asleep each time).

There's a film out now called Wedding Crashers or something, I bet that's pretty crap. Basically any of the American Dating Comedy genre should find themselves a home in this thread- that shit gets old fast.

Armageddon

Got to love Bruce Willis!

I watched this film with Mrs H when it first came out. We saw Brucie fly up to the approaching asteroid in the converted space shuttle. We saw his team set up a drilling rig despite all the odds, then watched Brucie sacrifice his own life in order to save the world from certain destruction. Fantastic!

At the end of the film, Mrs. H turned to me and asked;

"Was that a true story?"

I kid you not.

That upsets me somewhat!

genhex: pretty mean to discredit the whole rom-com genre! Wedding Crashers was no Citizen Kane, but I'd rather sit through it 10 times than see turgid bollox like 'Battlefield Earth'! I'm a bit of a fan of rom-coms. (sean of the dead, when harry met sally, elizabethtown, grosse pointe blank...), but I balance that out by being a horror movie fan. Especially zombie movies. Especially 28 days later and Dawn of the Dead (remake!)

how can you say these three are thr worst ever made! Ok each to their own and everything BUT
The Day After Tomorrow....brilliant if OTT version of what global warming can do.....
Armageddon....Come on this is brilliant..."Get off the nuclear weapon" Far better than the depressing deep impact zzzzzzzzzzzzz
Independence Day....ok it is very PRO AMERICAN, but whatever...it is still a great ground breaking movie in special effects...not the killer of movies most people make it out to be.

By the looks of your choice, you like movies that are realistic...again your choice. But cinema was invented to entertain, to let go off all the problems outside the real world. To escape in a fanatsy world, note that the first Blockbuster was "Jaws", and no you can not argue the point...The above movies do exacly what they say on the tin. they are not deep, two of them are meaningful. For me some of the worst movies ever made...apart from the two i mentioned, are movies like "Green Street Hooligans" Who the hell wants to watch a movie about thugs beaten the crap out of each other....it is too close to home for me...
No half the movies you mention there are to entertain....if you don't like that sort of movie, why did you bother seeing them all.

That's it...rant over...gonna cause some arguements this one lol
