Hmmmmmm... ok, my nipper (aged 5) loves it, and the rest of the series, so i have watched them probably another 100 times since the initial 500 times when I was but a wee nipper. Feels that way..... to expand it out a bit, where did you first see star wars......

I was in Berlin, a Forces child.. loved it...1977...or 78...

I was in Bielefeld, a forces child, 1978...1980. If my brother and I behaved during the week our reward was Star Wars! Couldn't tell you how many times I've seen it since then.

I want to come back in my next life as a Wookie.

Ok, I saw it in 1982 when I was 12-13 yrs old, on a Ship cruise in Sweden, & it was Empire Strikes back. I just fell in love with that episode and the rest is history. I don't know about anyone else but I feel George Lucas should make the next 3 parts from the Timothy Zahn books. I read them & they are awesome!

Lol didnt expect to see this topic here but yes im a fan of the film series and the books.

The Tomothy zan trilogy would make a great sequeal to episdode 6 but downside is it need new actors now (originals are too old) - not sure if it could live up to expectations.

Be nice to see whho they would cast as admiral thrawn though hehe

I first saw Star Wars on a pirated Betamax video in 1980 when I was three years old - and still loved it (I've got it legit on DVD now though).

I was born in 1977 and my name is Luke, so there was never any doubt it would become a significant part of my cultural upbringing!

Being a fan has had its ups and downs:

Ups: Got my first kiss "For luck" from a girl in my childhood because of Star Wars.

Downs: I get all the "Use the force Luke" quotes (from anyone I get to know!)...

Love it all though, especially the original trilogy!!

Love the original Star Wars trilogy, and had seen all three films at least five times each!

I had seen the original Star Wars at the movies when I was five. Groundbreaking film for special effects
in any film at that time, in 1977.

I did actually like the newer Star Wars films, made in the early 2000's. They had answered some questions to what hadn't been explained in the original series.
I had liked the fact that they go into Anakin Skywalker's childhood, adolescence and adult years
to give Darth Vader's full story.

I liked the first ones. I wasn't so keen on the follow up prequels, they could easily have been condensed into one film.

However, the first three left the story still hanging and I'd like to see a conclusion of it, even though you already know the rebels are going to win because they are "the good guys".

true but there are some twist/turns, the games are a good insight into how the universe may expand (in both directions)

as for star wars ofc, cant remember first time... probably 95 during a christmas tv showing. again felt the 3 prequels existed just because they could rather because they should.
