1. Nightmare on Elm St collection.
2. poltergeist.
3. Evil dead II

I don't find those sorts of films remotely scary, myself, though. The stuff I find disturbing is the more realistic stuff like se7en or Saw 1-3, or hard candy, stuff that really could happen!

I wouldn't exactly call Hard Candy a horror film, then again I'm not a guy! Razz

On topic: Love horror films, I don't tend to get scared per se, more jumpy, particularly at the cinema. Although I tend to play up how scared I am if I'm with a guy Wink

The Omen (original), hell raiser and poltergeist were all greats

Not strictly horror but I also enjoyed the Skeleton key

I never said it was a horror, and the thread title said "scary" not "horror" Wink, which got me thinking about what was really scary to me. So, yeah, hard candy is a really nasty film ... although to be fair, it is hard to sympathise with the bloke being tortured too much, considering what he'd done.

The only film to ever scare me was Jaws, when i watched it for the first time as a kid. Didn't go in the sea for years after.

Very true. I couldn't help but laugh, hard not to when you're sat with three guys who are squirming in their seats!

I watched it with one other bloke and two girls, and they saw the anguish in our faces, and laughed as well. You women are cruel! UT Evil or Very Mad

Jacob's Ladder

Deeply unsettling on more than one level. Excellent film.

Oooh, on the premise set by Mr. Charming that it's films that we, personally, find scary, can I say Alice in Wonderland?

Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee freak me out big time!
