i love that film. as the far as the movies go there's 2 so far nightwatch and daywatch. seen em both. awesome. (originals with subtitles).the 3rd one duskwatch is in production. Its the sort of film you have to watch a few times before it makes any sense and the second one helps. [/quote}
I didn't realise Daywatch had been released. Is it on DVD yet?

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for that then. How does it stand up to the first one?

Chronos for an original and new take on the Vampire film. It's the guy that made Hellboy's first film and is worth a watch.

I'm going to 'resurrect' this post as an AMAZING new vampire film came out recently (NO, sorry ladies I'm not talking about "Twilight"!
).
It's a Swedish movie called "Let The Right One In", and it's possibly one of the most unique and emotionally affecting portrayals of vampirism I've ever seen (and I'm no stranger to vampire films!).
I'll leave the story a surprise for you, but I HIGHLY recommend it, whether you're a vampire fan or even if you're just into emotionally-charged dramas and don't mind a horror slant on it.

I'll have to check that out, I'm a huge fan of vampire films. My favourites being The Lost Boys and Interview with the vampire (which was also a great book.)
Blade and Bram Stoker's Dracula also deserve honourable mentions.

I really want to see Let the Right One In... it looks amazing.
Personally I have a soft spot for Dracula:Ascension. Has anyone else seen it? It's quite bad but a lot of fun.
08.06.2009, 01:10 quote
having now seen Let The Right One In, i would highly recommend it. It would go in my top five list, though I don't think it will ever be better than The Lost Boys.
