V for Vendetta is one of my all time fav films, totally engrossed all the way through, amazing performance by Hugo Weaving, Portman wasn't too shabby either, and about the end, WTF, anti climax??? you mad?? He stands and takes like 10 full clips to the chest then just stands there, smoke coming off him and says "my turn" then slices and dices them before they can reload!!! ZOMG AWESOME

*cough*

Yeah good filum Embarassed

EDIT: forgot to mention, I made this sig because of the film

After the Matrix? Yeah. this scene was an anti-climax. I was expecting so much more after sitting through several hours of Weaving monologuing.

Almost always a better idea to watch the film first, because the books are generally far better and so you'll be disappointed with the film because you already know what's going to happen, and more.

If you read the book after the film you'll see the parts the film hit and you'll also see far more little bits that the film couldn't cover.

Take IT, i saw the film then read the book, the book has so much more detail in the story and events that the film missed out.

I though it was pretty shite.

What the marry was that all about where V was cooking eggs and asking if "would like a cup of tea?" ?!?!?!?

V's opening monlogue was ridiculous (lots of words starting with V) and the charcter himself, despite looking quite good, was a bit of a tool.

In the comic V is utterly uncomprimising and seems to be able to predict how events will turn out and how one thing will affect the next. In the film he was a bumbling little ponce who obviously had a hard on for Evey.

the end scene was good where he hacked up the room full of henchmen but the rest....
