In part due to the same effect that saw the latest Batman film reach the top 20.

the problem with compiling these lists are that more often than not the films most fresh in the memory do better than classics from decades past

But Jaws isn't exactly fresh faced and fancy free.

You may well be right, haven't seen the original since the dreadful sequel Jaws 4 appeared myself.
