A TV documentary on BBC 3 this Wednesday at 9:00pm

It's about people who suffer with body dysmorphic disorder.

Quote:
With her blonde hair and slim figure, 25-year-old Ruth Ryan is bound to attract attention when she walks down the street. But when Ruth looks in the mirror, all she sees is a grotesque woman looking back at her

I know the pic is not brilliant, but from what I can see of her, I certainly wouldn't say she was ugly.

I'll certainly be watching this.

Blaming bullies parents is wrong, its not always because of the parents that kids becomes bastages.

Must be awful though, I think that i'm ugly, but at least I don't see Frankenstein looking back at me in the mirror LOL, well...

a lot of it comes down to peer pressure which is why parents have a responsibility to take an interest in what type of characters there children are associating themselves with, seems most parents are to busy these days
(sorry not very good at explaining myself but i know what i mean)

I also know what you mean, but having constant knowledge of what your kids are doing would mean them being restricted to the house. It's just not possible to know what your kids are doing and who they are doing it with, 100% of the time, end of.

My mum only used to let me go out with my older sister. Until I turned 16, then she warned me to stay away from: Idiots, boys(HAHAHAHA), backstabbers and pretty girls(Don't ask about this one)

I just used to go out when she was at work instead.

http://www.fcps.net/sa/support/bully/parents-role.htm

plenty of information here Smile

easy to spot the signs of someone being bullied
also easy to spot characteristics of a bully(if you look for them) Wink

you probably dont have children so i can understand your ignorance on the subject! though the phrase "look before you leap" comes to mind.

ROFL

Look before you leap is very true, a quick check of my earlier posts would tell you how many kids i have Very Happy I tend not to be so judgemental on subjects i have no experience with Wink So as you dont know me i can understand your ignorance on that subject Razz

My eldest is 5, and trust me, kids can have mulitple sides, at home all sweet and innocent, outside of the home, monsters, nothing is "easy" with children.

No mate, you need to be reading my posts, not me.

I made that statement because you judged me as ignorant on the subject, i merely stated that until i know more on something im not judgemental with my views. you were being judgemental about me. do you understand yet?? My statement DID NOT refer to the discussion on bullying, it refered to you calling me ignorant. Christ!!

Yeah i saw you posted a link to information on bullying, which was no relevance to what i said, which was kids cant be watched 100% of the time, keep diggin hombré i got ALLLL day Wink
