Sunshine, sounds wonderful doesn't it, images of wonderful happy people walking happily through the fields, a picnic basket in one hand, and in the other the hand of a small child, the laughter and the sounds. In fact if this was made by anyone else other than th great Danny Boyle, I am sure this would be what you get...But this time...the simple premise is the sun has gone out...oops.
Writing by Alex Garland...him of the beach fame. It is all about a band of heroes who have to reignite the sun with a rather large bomb...sounds cool, only one small problem....they are not alone!

Now for me, this sounds like it could be one of the greatest british movies ever...and yes...it really truly is a british movie... there isn't a hugh grant floopy hair style to be found anywhere. Danny Boyle however has said...this will be the only time he does sci-fi space movie...shame really cause it looks like he could have got it spot on first time out.

I saw this today and loved it. Very well made and atmospheric in proper sci-fi terms such as original Solaris and Alien. Visually stunning - the sun was an absolute star Smile Got a little bit predictable toawrds the finale and they tried to spice it up with a little other world imagery but still another bloody good effort from Mr Boyle....

and years 28 weeks later looks mental! Like a 2000Ad comic come to life. Lovin' it.

i watched this film last night & must say it's one of the better sci fi movies, one gripe though why name the ship in the film (Icarus)?it kinda gives away the ending,we all know what happend to Icarus lol
