You can watch it here: click here this is the famous brief 20 minute documentary about the international pick up scene which features a few of my online mates.

It is not the best angle on the scene just giving a snapshot of some of the people involved in it. It was made by an independent film maker I think.

The people in it don't come off very good. Adam comes across as a clever nerd with his; "I want to be the best pick up artist in the world" and ability to get contact details from almost any woman. Robert Becks comes off best as the cool expert who trains other guys. Ian comes across as a useless dimwit struggling to get good with girls. Darren comes across as a layabout play boy who can get almost any woman he wants but the rest of his life if fucked up.

All in all it shows that pick up techniques can certainly yeild success and in the case of Adam, Darren and Beckster spectacular success at that.

I watched it with great interest, I must admit!

I felt really sad for those lads, especially when that lad hops in the bathtub and fell asleep, I felt like crying for him.
I wanted to take them all home with me, poor things!

The most striking thing for me was that none of them have a good relationship with family - no mum to love them, no dad to talk them straight. All very sad.

And I still think that the people who charge for these seminars and stuff need shooting - they are playing on these poor lads insecurities and charge way, way too much money.

I was really glad that the interviewer changed it from being a comedy to something more serious.

Darren comes across as a sad wannabe, women would soon find out his act is an empty cliché. Those men are vunerable, they dont really need seduction techniques, they just need to learn a bit more about themselves and what they want.

I watched it.

Proper human tragedy, and not just the poor sods signing up for this snakeoil therapy.

That Darren guy has all the charm and sincerity of your average mobile phone salesman. Its pretty painful to watch.

Still, proof in the pudding and all that; I showed it to two female friends of mine. One of whom said...

'What a massive cunt.'

I guess there must be something wrong with them if his superpowers don't have them cooing and stroking the monitor. Or maybe its because the skin on my tea is thicker than his personality. I dunno, I'm no SEDUCTION EXPERT!!!11.

As has already been said; know yourself, love yourself, realise that rejection is inevitable and you won't need any of this horseshit. If that fails to work then its just passive eugenics in action.

By the way here is a photo of me with three of the stars from that documentary on a night out in Leciester Square recently. From left to right are Adam Lyons, me, Robert Becks and far right with the long dark hair and glasses Darren. I think it was a shame that the documentary seemed to give a negative view of the seduction community as a lot of men have gained enormously from it the best example being Ian who is shown as a complete loser with women to begin with who later becomes much better with women thanks to the community.

I didn't see it as particulary negative Greystone. The producer admitted that he started out intending to take the piss and make it a comedy, but by the end he realised it's all a bit more profound than that.
Anyways, by the look of your photo, you guys make friends with each other and get out there and obviously have a good time, so good on you I say - and if you meet some lovely ladies in the process, well that's a bonus eh?

I watched the documentary..and from a personal perspective..I could sniff a player out from the first glance..this seduction crap wouldn't work on me what so ever..but on the same note I also know plenty of women that can haul men in just as easily..

Chikhai is right in what he says..proper human tragedy..

My son is 'going through a phase' - like little boys do (aged 19 hehe) - where he wears the same kind of really dark glasses ALL THE BLOODY TIME including at night.

Does it make me want to slap him?

If ever the dictionary needs an illustration for the word 'odious' it could do worse than that picture.
