We've had all these end of the world threads recently and the subject has been used in many movies. So what is the greatest post apocalyptic movie made so far....Mad Max 2, The Omega Man or The New Barbarians?
Discuss.

Planet of the Apes will always be a favorite for me.
I liked The Postman, admittedly though particularly because Costner was in it, and also liked Soldier (I think thats what it was called with Kurt Russell).
But I have to say too that I love all the mad max films!
I'm sure theres a few others that I cant think of right now.

I'd agree with that. I also really liked Twelve Monkeys.

Though both good, I do prefer the remake. The newer version has lost some of the more comic elements seen in the original version. The biggest improvement for me was the speed of the zombies. In the original they shuffle around whilst in the remake they have the speed of cheetahs!

Ah ok. Best I not watch that on my own before bedtime then!
/hey can you imagine that in 3D?? I'd probably have heart failure!/

a little off topic, did you like unbreakable?
A lot of people I know who saw it said it was guff, but I thought it was really good. The comic nerd in me I guess.

Shaun of the Dead was better.
