| A classic 'martial arts' movie has to be Seven Samurai
My main preference (other than classic martial arts movies) are the more modern 'arty' ones, like House of Flying Daggers & Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - they do sometimes verge on the ridiculous, almost slapstick, but I suppose that's part of the appeal - well, along with the stunning landscape cinematography and superb choreography. |
is that the one from the late 30's ? about the villagers being tormented by 'outlaws' ? if it is, i think i've seen it - quite a long film, around 3hours ??

I'd have to go for Jackie Chans "Drunken Master". Its piss funny and the fight scenes go on for ages.
