I hope this thread will continue in innocence....if not then shame on you.
Well for the moment, my boys, 7&9, are taking great pride by repeating the film title Meet The Fockers. and they know exactly what they are saying.
Two days ago we watched surfs up which I thoroughly enjoyed, my boys however, didn't.

We watched wizard of oz last sunday, I saw how they loved the story and characters but denied liking it because it is an old movie.

They will appreciate it one day - or you could teach them a lesson by making them watch Return to Oz. I hate those wheelies!

Watership Down is an amazing film. Plenty of stuff for the kids and plenty of depth for the adults. Good book too.
Spirited Away is another winner for kids.
And Cannibal Holocaust. No wait...
The worrying thing about this thread is that immediately after it in the favourites column is 'hardcore sex'. Chris Langham, if you're reading; its just a coincidence. No need to get your credit card out.

Jungle Book and Snow White...
My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away are good too

Short circuit & Never ending story, also E.T

Are they still into cartoon films?
I will never grow too old for Robin Hood, the cartoon version where RH is a fox. Sadly, I often hum the theme to myself even now!
Also, George of the Jungle is good, but depends on if your kids are able to follow a quite long plot?
I know kids these days tend to turn their noses up at classic oldies, but how about Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Bedknobs & Broomsticks?
The Ice Age films are really funny too.

Oh yes they love cartoon films. Rodin hood is a classic, who is RH? George of the Jungle has us laughing every time, the sequal however was a major let down. They own just about all the classics only the eldest likes chitty chitty bang bang, the youngest finds it a bit long.
I have them out in the park at every oppotunity, riding bikes or just kicking a ball around. On rainy days we play monopoly, cards, colouring, I am against video games at a young age, I firmly believe a child needs fresh air and physical activity to grow and develop their mind and awarness in general. Not Video games.
I have been introducing them into more, easy viewing movies, with a nice story, a bit more true to life rather that shoot them up and blow them up films.

I've got a lovely 1987 version of Hansel and Gretel, just love it so much, but the witch might be a bit scary for little ones. Has some nice bits of humour and is very fairytale-like. So if you want to go back to the good over powering evil, this is the one.
It's a Warner Bros production starring David Warner and Cloris Leachman

For me it would be Madagascar, as my daughter loves it.
She’s counting the days until the sequel comes out!
