No I liked the recruit. Can't actually remember a bad film starring Al Pacino...probably why he's widely regarded to be the best actor.

My original post may have been confusing. What I meant was that by law of averages the majority of actors would have made a dire film at some point. Or more than one...Samuel L Jackson made some excellent films (Pulp Fiction, 187, Fresh etc.) but now seems to be reduced to making popcorn fodder such as SWAT, Deep Blue Sea, XXX etc..

c'mon Quentin...this guy needs your help...write him a decent part...no more cameo roles!! Sad

What about castaway, everyone loved that, failing that, there are the 80's classics like Big, The Man with One Red Shoe, Dragnet.

Totally agree with Tom Hanks, though not seen castaway. Other fantastic actors: Sean Connery, Nicholas Cage, John Travolta, Adam Sandler and Robin Williams of course just to mention a few. Drew Barrymore and Jodi Foster for the actresses. Loads i like but got a memory block lol

am gonna add jake gillienhall (sp?) to the mix cos lets face it, bubble boy and Donnie Darko fantastic films. oh and im sure he ha been mentioned but jonny depp. he aint just that makes every woman moister than a 3 week old handcerchief. He is an amazing actor with i diverse range of abilities and films, from Edward scissorhands, benny and joon (my fave), To the more recent pirates of the caribean and charlie and the chocolate factory (which in my opinion Gene wilder did better but Jony still did an excellent job)
