If sci-fi can be thrown in, so can M*A*S*H. Loved that series and even got my youngest girl into watching it too

Although my favourite has to be saving private ryan...with surround sound on a big telly, the start is awesome

Most war movies to me are just cash ins for the actors and production companies. Like they really do not care what a happen they know people will go see it.
I really like flags of our fathers.

Apocalypse Now and Plattoon. Both have some of the best scenes in Cinema I think. Apocalypse Now - Helicopter scene with the classical music. Plattoon - scene when william defoe is being chased out of the jungle and he just falls on his knees and reaches up to the sky whilst Barbers Adiago for Strings is playing on the Soundtrack. Genius!

lots of great flicks here....my favourites are: Where Eagles Dare - Richard Burton is the man and cool twist at the end. Kelly's Heros is the Italian Job of war movies. The Dirty DOzen also does it for me as it has one of my hero's - Charles Bronson.
I actually preferred Hamburger Hill over Platoon though.
