actually hes stopped doing martial art epics, so he'll be producing films like romeo must die and cradle 2 the grave, just not the all out ass kicking martial arts films.

one actor i know for sure to be quickly taking his place among the greats is Tony Jaa, hes awesome
and of course people can remember who are what they like, i wasnt trying to restrict that, just to ignore the current talent in favour of the dead talent is a bit brain-eyed to me Very Happy

I can't believe no one mentioned Drunken Master (Or maybe they did and I just didn't notice). Surprised

Do Jean-Claude Van Damme films class as martial arts? The storylines are crap, but the action in some of them is great.

Also Enter The Dragon & Game of Death are up there.

I don't know many obscure ones, only the mainstream ones really.

I study/studied Jeet Kune Do too! So far my favourite Martial Art. I had to stop lessons because of money reasons, but I still practice some of it on my own.
Also, I agree with the guest- Drunken Master HAS to be THE best MA film. Jackie Chan's let it slip with pretty much all his recent releases (can't really blame him, he is 53 I think), but that is the defining moment of his career. Perfection.

lot of posts here about the more recent films, aite sure the ground breaking stunts are crazy especially Tony Jaa's films, but if your actually looking for a lot of martial arts, surprising how so few mentioned jackie chans original films

Drunken Master
Snake In the Eagles shadow.

I used to think of jackie as some crap comedy martial artists that stared in films like Who am I and rush hour but after watching those .. they speak for themselves. And altho bruce lee is dead i still dont think anyones surpassed his skill just from the pure fact that no one has reached his physical state of fitness yet, go wikipedia him and ull know what im talking about.
