Exchanged some small talk with this user before he/she offered to chat off the site on hotmail. Not being an idiot I traced the person's email and found it belonged to a male college student in Sydney. I replied saying I didn't use hotmail but the person then offered to use another kind of email but wanted myself to give mine up first.

It's funny because google searching showed the hacker to be a real golden boy, top of his game in everything and president of the student's union at the university of Sydney.

I don't understand how a scammer on a dating website can gain anything of use to them! it doesn't make sense to me. Surely people nowadays know not to give money/bank details, private information to strangers.
