Im just a bit curious, like the rest,,why someone is branded a scammer without any explanation or proof? I think threads like this are a vehicle for the ''hell hath no fury'' brigade, or anyone who has an axe to grind. Shouldn't it be proof or keep it to yourself?
if you read this thread fully you'll clearly see that this user made 2 profiles, that made me suspicious,so that was why i made a thread,if this person is genuine i'll apologise whole heartidly for my mistake
it is a bit odd that they have had there profile deleted and then set up a new one, but there could be many reasons for that...
so until you have proof there is nothing we can do, sorry

Hi!
How are you? It's pretty exciting to hear from you....I didn't expect an answer from you in such a short while.I am glad that you got my message and that you have decided to write back. How about we got to know eachother better? I should tell you that I am an ambitious woman and I like to boss people around sometimes. I realised that life is short and that you have to keep op with it's rythm.Although I have 28 years old I like to play, not to act my age...I just want to feel like the world is mine and that I have no worries and that everything is exactly how I want it to be. I was thinking that it my be easier for us to get to know eachother better not through e-mails but by talknig more online.I bought a webcam and I was thinking that you would like to see me. We can use (LINK REMOVED BY ME)
It's free and fun because we can talk there as much as we want... You just have to fill in the forms you know age varification... I believe it's not the first time you do that so... After you finished registering look for me. My username is verynaughty.
Hope to see you there soon.
Kisses,
Angela

I'm not so sure its about more proof rather than about protecting the innocent, no matter how stupid some of them are...

well said,,women AND men have reason sometimes to post two or more profiles......and if they're honest on the first,,why would the second be any different, bar the name? Gut feelings are fine,,tells you to steer clear for whatever reason but think its unfair to suggest that anyone is a fake without sufficient proof.....better to get this than brand a legitimate person a fake.

M.... Yep there's loads can be done! U fancy a little 2 factor authentication? Can do u a token for what say a £10 a month. How about biometrics...say a one of fee of £50 on signing up could get a nice little fingerprint scanner ? OK i know we can code a simple security question into the login process...something personal...like say...hmmm I know how about ur mothers maiden or ur pets name? Oops sorry thats public domain now as its been posted in "whats ur porn star name" thread (not so lol now eh?). That way we can all authenticate and live happily ever after.
But u know what??? Wouldn't be as many about if it cost money would there?Might get a little boring after while? This service is provided free and to be fair I can put up with the odd bit of spam. Its actually very good and thanks to all that make it work.
So maybe just maybe we could all take a little responsibility and use our initiative (i used "our" instead of "you" coz ur probably not on ur own). Its not difficult to spot them.So report them or ignore them.Chat a while without giving out your "hotmail" addy. Learn by ur mistakes and move on.
You could post some of ur ideas in the Name and Shame thread within Flrtbox Suggestions.Next it'll be no swearing, then no laughing, then no ugly people, then people with blonde hair and blue eyes only but to be realistic the problem lies with human nature and only education will help.Spam is drivin by greed and gets fed by ignorance or stupidity. All are equally at fault.
My name is Sue. I'm a 19 year old, I love living life to the full and am an eager and willing participant in bondage. You wanna give me ur email address?

<sighs and takes a deep breath>
Thats half the problem smitty.
Spam or phishing are ways of generating money!
Very lucrative and easy ways of generating money. And who wouldn't want to make money the easy way? So you have all these emails (active unsolicited adverts really) flying around by the million. If they get 5% of the targets and make even £1 on each 1 its still not a bad days work. Thats the nice bit. Then you have identity fraud which is kinda more sinister but more lucrative again. See the internet is made up lots computers and networks. Data is routed here there and everywhere. It was designed this way but data should usually take a fairly direct path and it should be obvious where it came from.Unfortunately there are ways of hiding where the data comes from. This can be exploited by the "bad guys" to hide where they are and where they're sending it from.
So ya see they have the incentive and methods to send vast quantities out. But and its a big but where do send it to? Well your (the collective rather than singular) email. But how do they get my address? Well lets be honest u give it to them. Your "cam girls" draw it out of you with promises of hot shows! Your address is your identity online. Its valuable to them coz they can put it on a list and sell it on after they have finished with you even if they don't make money from you directly.
Again, this site is free and because its free it costs them nothing to signup and snare a few unsuspecting punters. If the site owners secured things its gonna cost to set up and run any kind of system to authenticate you.Hence a charge is passed onto you. If this site wasnt free would they use it? No but then again neither would you.So the responsiblity is on you.Think before you give out your address.Report it if you get caught or better still try not to get caught.Remember if its too good to be true it probably is!

And yes I thought it was lol too (just the bit about sue mind) Very Happy
