As much as I say huge age gaps do not matter, morally as long as both parties are consenting and its legal. I think there is a huge difference to "appearing to act" mature when you are 18 and actually being mature when you are 50. However, some 50 year olds seem quite immature in terms of self awareness. The thing for me on this subject is, I think that knowing yourself, how you react, why you react and understanding yourself takes a lot longer than 18 years. I know it may be a generalization, but an 18 year old may appear to be mature and have domestic sensibility, responsibilities etc, but there is no substitute for experience in life. I am not against two adults of any age difference being together, but huge age gaps such as 18 and 50s, in my opinion, are asking for trouble somewhere along the line because that sort of age gap is not just physical numbers, its a huge leap in experience, self knowledge and relationship skills.

I just used 18 year olds as an example, and 50, I dont know how old your friends are Jeg, and my comments are not a dig or directed at anyone, just my opinion.
