I was just previously on another site and was browsing or rather searching the listings for other members what I found were countless of women in their 40's all more or less saying the same things.
"I am a bubbly person that likes to enjoy herself. i love going out with my mates clubbing"
The above is a brief description of a woman who is 42, this puzzles me as this is a kind of description that someone in their 20's would make. Am I boring, as in my age group I do not feel clubbing is anywhere on my agenda for a good night out but does seem these days that women in their 40's do seem still interested.
Are women in their 40's still trying to maintain their youth and keep up with the trend of clubs?
This is not meant to be insulting so I hope this does not come across this way but just wonder why in their mature years clubbing is still so important in ones life.
I am aware that men in their 40's still do the same thing but clubs you would have thought were really for people in the age groups of no later than their 30's or is that not right?
I personally cannot stand clubs/pubs as I am teetotal so this scene does not appeal to me one little bit but I am aware that there are many people mostly I thought in their 20's and 30's like to go to these places, but not so much people in their 40's.

Not sure on this one but everyone is different, i'm in my 50's going on 30 something(hehe) if I had the chance to go to clubs (none in my area) I would....age would'nt stop me from doing anything in life, fun or otherwise.....but thats just me & my opinion ![]()

Clubs are generally for people over 21.
Most women over 35 do like dancing, probably most men at that age dont. Which is probably why women over 40 that like dancing and clubbing tend to yearn for yongerman that can keep up with them. They may have been tied to a kitchen for 20 years, kids are grown up, so they want to enjoy themselves.
Obviously if you are tea total then these women are not for you, and you probably not for them. But there are a lot of tea total women out there for you. Finding one is probably the hard thing

I dont think being teetotal has much to do with it, they do sell soft drinks presumably and not everyone drinks and drives either.
You probably wouldnt be well suited to someone who goes out to get wrecked though.
I would imagine that these 40 something women are as someone else said trying to recapture their youth after years of bringing up the kids, been in a relationship etc.
Having said that, I am sure there are women out there (like LV) who for them its simply a case of thats what they like to do, age doesnt come into it.
Myself, I'm 42 and a homebody. Always have been. Havent been to a nightclub type place since they were called discos.
My kids are always telling me I am old beyond my years, i'd rather sit at home alone and knit than go clubbing, always been like that.
Might I also suggest that maybe some of the ladies whose profiles say they are into clubbing are just listing what they think men want to read? Make themselves sound more interesting than they think they really are?
I've known men on here to list on their profile that they like to play football, but when you get to know them they've not kicked a ball since God was a boy, but they didnt want people reading thinking (knowing!) they are couch potatoes.
Same with fave books, you ask him which character was his favorite and he says "I just said that to make myself look intelligent, I dont read books at all".
Just a thought.

I love dancing and when I became single at 42 I decided to do all the things I loved doing, but hadn't had the opportunity due to bringing up my family.
At work we were given free tickets for a local night club every month (which was probably their slack night) so many of us, all different ages as reflected in our workforce, would go for a night out. We would start off at the Greyhound Racing then move on to the night club which was based at the same venue and we had a great time that didn't break the bank. I was never the oldest person and not everyone were drinkers either but it was something we all looked forward to doing. So, really I think it's about what people enjoy doing, or who they like to be with, the age has nothing to do with it unless the venue imposes limits....... and I've never seen going to a night club as trying to recapture my youth, I've never grown old in the first place! some night clubs are even geared up for over 35s Just because my appearance has aged, that's no excuse for me not doing what I want for enjoyment. However, the men in my generation were mainly reluctant or non-dancers, so as people have said, it may be a reason why I, like many other women may be less interested in men of my own age as some have old ways and attitudes..I hasten to add, fortunately, not exclusively.

I am 41 and were I to still have the energy I had just 10 years ago then I'd be night-clubbing. My girls are old enough for me to go with them now. I've done my years of bringing up the little 'uns and see no reason why women in their 40's can't let their hair down. Oh, and tho' I like the occasional drink (sometimes even 3 or 4!), I rarely drink alcohol when clubbing. Because I dance from the moment I arrive to when the club closes (or at least I used to), I find it far safer to stick to lots of bottled water (dehydration can be a killer).

I agree with you red and good luck with it
But do you dance more then if you were under 30? Probably women over 40 dance more then younger women?
