I rarely send out messages and I often get at least one reply, so must be what I write. Keeping the conversation going after a couple message is a different thing, I often take ages to reply and interest wains. But it has to be something interesting from their profile to get at least one reply.

Maybe it's the type of messages you are sending.

Trying picking something out of their profile, base a message around that. Maybe add a little joke (but not an obvious one) give her a slight compliment - maybe about her hair or eyes or something.

The lady you were messaging lost her fingers in a tragic lawn mower accident and can only type with her tongue. While excellent for felatio this is very, very for communication by computer without the dire risk of electriculion. Long story short. She would but she's afraid of dying, and I insinuate nothing there

ive found its best to email people when im bored that whay when I send them something its usually very random or completly amusing.. yea shure I might actually come accross as scary but hell if they cant get to grips with my sense of humour in an email how are they going to cope with me in the real world?
instead of being all HI im bladibla i do this that and the other. why not try to shine your personality through.. they say roses and candles are teh way to a girls heart I personally think its a good joke and a good personality.

Its a tough one-so many reasons why you seem like your blowing into the wind by sending emails and getting none back!
Even though Ive been using the internet to meet people for many years I still dont know why I send so many out and only get a trickle back(At best!!).
I still havent found the right balance on online dating and meeting-if you write a crap email the reciever will think the sender has no personality, if you dont write a lot in your profile you look mysterious, if you write loads in your profile you run out of things to talk about very quickly, if you write something you think is funny but the reciever dosent get or finds offensive or in my case simply not funny!!! I think definetly its all about first appearances and if your face "fits". I also think a lot of people dont know what they are looking for in a person.
I think like in all dealings in life if you just be yourself and be true to your personality eventually it all works out.
When I work it all out and manage to find the right formula Ill come back and tell you all how to do it!!!!!!!

Looks are definitely the foot in the door. If they don't fit then it doesn't matter if you're Don Juan, you're not gonna get a reply.
