Well i thought we'd even up the forum and create a thread to discuss the mind games that women play.

Why do women say one thing and mean another.

Why is it wrong to say that a woman looks "nice"

Why do women bring up a conversation that ended over an hour ago and then get mad at us for not knowing what they are talking about?

Ladies and gents - ur input please..

Has anyone encountered these or other probs with women?

Are any of you ladies like this - if so why?

I think we just find it easier to keep track of stuff... all the what he said then what she said...

Men just seem to forget it straight away, in one ear and out the other...

I appreciate thats a generalisation but we might have to mention stuff over and over because men often suffer from selective hearing too so we have to wait for it to sink in....

A half tongue in cheek response with an element of truth....

What I've never understood is - why do couples stick together if they piss each other off all the time?

Ok...This is MOST women, not all, before the rest attack me for it.

Women say one thing and mean another because we can (even though it's totally stupid.)

Women don't want to hear they look nice - they want to hear they look 'sexy' 'gorgeous' or even 'cute', not just nice. A bunch of flowers are nice. A bar of Chocolate is nice.

And the last one..some women just can't let things go. And expect guys to have a great memory.

Every single woman does at least one of these. It's true.

Well not all women are the same but I think women and complex creatures and men are simple
A man gets home from work and likes to relax and let go of his stresses whilst the woman immediately goes into "I need to talk about my day" rountine adding to his stress. The woman is then incenced because her man just isnt interested in her and what she has to say seeming switching off to her needs and watching the TV! "He just doesnt Understand me"
Actually it seems to us men to be the other way round and in times when its really needed we are good listeners. We just have a short attention span for tittle tattle and mundane stuff.

Women feel the need to control and manipulate their man into doing what they want. Smart men play along because we would do virtually anything for an "Easy Life" Even though we can see it and we do understand women its just not worth the hassle of not playing the game!

Basically we need to meeet in the middle and take a little time (10 minutes max) to listen to the womans day and show them some affection before slumping on the sofa bushed and maybe cuddling up after dinner to watch a movie. Although these days the man is expected to cook the dinner wash the dishes and next we will be being asked to breast feed the babies!
I am getting really synical about the whole thing. Gays have it so damn easy you never hear them complaining! - lol

The last two posts are kind of depressing.

That sounds like a LOT of selfishness to me, on BOTH sides.

L&T, whilst I can see some qualities you speak of in some women, not all women are like that.

I think a happy balance is the key and I think if you find that special someone that that does naturally happen.

It may seem quite a romantic view (I am a woman afterall Wink ) but I really do believe that.

Im one of those girls that does not play mind games. i personally dont see the point. it does nothing but make everyone unhappy.
I have had 2 ex boyfriends that tried that with me.
Alot of men do the same thing

In my opinion if men or women play mind games then they are not happy they need to talk more often.

I'm sorry, but every girl plays mind games in one way or another. In fact, guys do, too.

That's my opinion.

nope not me. from the age of 18 i was emotionally and mentally controlled by my ex. long story i wont go into details but when i eventually got out of it. i understood what effect mind games have on people.
Your entitled to your opinion. But i seriously am one who does not believe in mind games. if i say something i mean it you get nowhere in life unless your 100% honest and say what you mean. thats my opinion.

I was 'controlled' by one of my ex's, too.

So, if there's a guy you like, but you're not sure about going out with him, and you tell him that, is it not mind games? Because i think it is.

Sometimes we do it without realising. You have more than likely actually played mind games, without realising.

telling a guy honestly that your not sure about going out woth them is being honest, if thats how you feel then your being truthfull to them. if you were to say yeah you like them to their faces but then not be 100% in your mind then that is a mind game.

Yes maybe your right that people do it with out realising, but then thats not really mind games. becuase to play mind games you have to be aware of what your doing as their is always a motive for doing it. that is what i ment by i dont play mind games. playing means to be aware of ones oppersition. if your not doing it intentionally then how can it be a mind game if you have no motive behind it

Not necesserily(sp?!)

I still see it as mind games, although others don't(like yourself..)

Either way, everybody screws with somebodies mind at least once in their lifetime.

I still think its fair to say that we all play mind games at some stage or another and we can make a concious decision not to in the future but sometimes we probably do it without realising....

And I also agree blokes do it alot too....

Even the simplest of situations..... you get a text message... you think to yourself I wont reply to her/him straight away I'll make him/her wait.
