I am a bit new to this but I've sent a few messages out there without reply and you do kind of think it's a reflection on your appearance, which it is.

But I also think that it's likely that girls on this site will get loads of messages, far more than even the really 'buff' looking blokes.

Is this the case ladies?

Sometimes appearances don't matter to me, especially since i'm only really looking for friends.
A profile with absolutely no information tends to make me not reply.

Uh...Some ladies do probably get loads of messages. Some of us(like me) don't get too many. Confused

Ironicly...nor do i Crying or Very sad

Proberly should sort my profile out ...

I havn't sent any messages, I haven't recieved any ... in anycase with the dodgy pic i'm useing i'm not surprised. lol ... I had more people look at my profile before it had a pic then after.

One thing I find difficult is filling in the description box ... I mean i have no idea what to say.

As for guys who find out you have a kid and run a mile, not all do ... my ex had 4 kids ..well 1 kid and 2 teenagers and a 21 yr old. who cares if you have a kid or not.

just be honest about the things you like dislike, ask friends what they would say is your best points and bad points.

The main thing is dont pretend to be something your not, cause people will see through this and will lead to disappointment.

I would message more people but like others im after friends more than a partner.

Very Happy

There may be quite a few reasons people don't leave a message - lack of common interests (or for that matter lack of words in the profile in general), looking for different things, lack of attraction or even thinking they haven't got a chance in getting a reply Rolling Eyes
Although I prefer no message or 1 normal one than getting all those ones that say things like hi/how are you/what's up/wanna chat, etc.

How are you is a reasonable thing to ask.

Iit's fine as a part of a message, not as a message on it's own! I make a lot more effort than that when I message someone and I expect the same of them.

that is something you ask a friend, not someone your trying to get to know.

Be creative, remember that message is your first impression to that person and if you dont make it as interesting as possible your gonna strike out.

if i was a women and i read a message like How are you? i'd think oh well is that all he could be bothered to write.....NEXT !!!!
