I once got told by some crazy old weird lady that I smelt nice and my hair looked lovely.

Something I remember from a while back..which STILL makes me smile..

Was sat in Starbucks with my mum..and..we sat next to a table next to this really old guy(must have been at least 70)

Anyway, my mum was waiting for the drinks at the counter..So I sat down.
The guy started staring at me(from over the top of his paper..) and then said
"my god, you're beautiful"

I went bright red, and then mum sat down, and he started talking to my mum, and she went on to mention that she was out with her daughter(meaning me..) and he said 'well you have a beautiful daughter'..

I wanted to ground to open up and swallow me.

Hmmm, tricky to say as I don't really get compliments.

I suppose the nicest thing I can remember that springs to mind was 'your incredibly funny' or something like that, and that was ages ago too.

Some guy once told me I looked like "one of them from The Corrs". I was quite pleased with that comment (even though I know I don't), until his pal piped in "aye the brother". Charming!!!! Never mind, it made me feel good for 3 seconds hahaha.

Tonight when I was taking my son and his girlfriend home, he (as usual) ran round the side of my car and opened the door for his g/f.
She asked him, "Why do you always insist on doing that?"
He replied, "Because you're not just a woman, you're a lady!!"
Awww, she and I both had to wipe tears from our eyes - how sweet is that?!

Now, if I could only find a man like that for me.......

Well, my life is pretty sad, since the thread first started and I made some comments on the first page of the topic, no-one has said anything nicer.

I suppose one could look at that in 2 ways. Either the things that were said to me back in July last year were so nice that they can't be beaten, or the women I've met since then have been a bit sparse with the compliments

a gal i really like once told me im her fraviroute person to chat to (dont ask i dont get alot of compliments hehe)
