I've only ever been in love once, but I'll try and define it (might only be applicable to me, though
)
Lust means wanting to be with the person, it means being hot for him/her, thinking about him/her most of the time or even all the time. Lust means wanting him/her for yourself.
Love means wanting the other person to be happy, no matter what. It's no longer centered around yourself and your own happyniess, but completely around him/her. Love means wanting the best for him/her.
