Does puzzle me why young seemingly attractive people under 25 waste their time on these sites.

But I think its different now then when we were young. When I was 21 I could go out and get a date almost every weekend, that was because young girls only aim in life in those days was getting dates, meeting a man. Life was much more simple, girls went out in twos and were much more open to being chatted up.

That probably changed about 15-20 years ago, when young women started to go out in big gangs and drinking pints of lager.


They dont get the experience of going out on dates, and maybe getting the social skills, as we did. The only place they can chat to women are on dating/social networking sites.

I think that the changes of time have alot to do with loosing our social skills.... sometimes loosing confidence and hving a low self esteem hinder the problems of socail skills.... i know from my experiance that after coming out of a very bad marriage after 25years that life appeared very daunting.... using the internet i guess for me was away i could express myself without the trauma of being in the public eye.... One day then, when i least expected it.... i met My partner. Not through the internet but whilst at was at work.... not particularly looking my best... convirsation was had and the rest is now a happy ending.....


I have heard other people say the net has helped their self esteem and confidence. Which is good. Maybe not so good for those with a high self esteem though.

I think these type sites sometimes promise too much, and some people come on them expecting too much.
