Yes I go up to women in public places and try to start conversation with them. If they don't seem interested then I just walk away. I only ask them out if they chat with me for quite a while.

Sorry, but if a guy came up to me in the street and just started talking to me, i'd call the police or something.

Looked like..no.

What he said would definately play a part in it, though.

I just think it's creepy when people just walk up to somebody and start talking.

Fair enough if they have looked over and smiled or something(the person you are going to talk to..)

Depends on the situation - just stopping you on the street for a chat is a bit weird, but say you were queuing for a cash machine an odd comment wouldnt be so strange - and then ice broken a bit of a chat perhaps. How often has that happened to us all....

If you want to meet someone new, then join a new social circle. A lot of club activities are full of people who want to try new things and meet new people. One good example of this would be amature drama. If you join a drama group you get to meet lots of new girls and drinking buddies. The fact that your socialising and working towards a common or communal goal also helps overcome either shyness or at the very least gives you both something to talk about.

Aproaching someone in the street is difficult, i've had loads of small talk conversations that while interesting does sometimes leave me feeling uncomfortable.

If i want to try and meet someone i find the club activities or meeting people through friends much better than a nightclub or a drunken one night stand.

Think i might use this advice, not to sure about standing on a stage doing a bit of acting though, takes a lot of confidence to do that, which i do lack in certain situations, but i'm going to look into doing similar stuff, i really do need to get a life and get myself out there! and sitting on this chair at the computer isn't a good start i reckon even if it is a dating site, would be interested to know what your experiences of these social circle's were, did you get lucky and meet a nice lady? who was mad for sex Laughing
