OK, in a brief survey of friends on here to determine why I've had 135 views but not a single response or reply to 54 messages, I've had two independent women tell me I'm intellectually intimidating and my syntax/phrasing is too sophisticated for most FB users. Furthermore, I've been told I'm looking in the wrong age bracket (my own) because I look older than my actual age.

Do you really think this is the case? Should I dumb it down? Start sending messages to women like, "Hai - wht u up 2? U wnt 2 b cam 2 cam, coz I doo!" Mis-spell things more often? Maybe I should just clarify that I'm not looking for a rocket scientist - I'm loooking for a date! And from looking at lots of profiles, there are clearly women here who are far smarter than me!

I always write everything in full words-even text messages! It works for me, in fact one girl I met said she was impressed by my correct spelling and phrasing. Theres nothing worse to me than badly spelt/worded profiles half writtn as they think its kl 2 not rite it pply ect-straight onto the next one!-its a major turn off for me. I dont mind it on messengers but do mind in emails. Do what you think is right mate. (I would like to point out that i dont mind peoples spelling on the forums!)

Well I've been sending messages to ages 24-34, which is 5 years in either direction. I could easily expand that a bit if women that much older/younger would take me seriously Razz

I'm not a medical doctor. I have a PhD, which in the US means they call you Dr. My screen name refers more to a tragic character...
