I have just discovered this community a few weeks ago after someone on another forum mentioned the book The Game by Neil Strauss. I never knew there was such a scene out there and it is so massive encompassing the globe and with tens of thousands of followers.

The seduction community is basically a group of men linked together via the internet who go out sometimes together in small groups to pick up female strangers. They have their own websites, forums, videos, books, DVDs, training courses and gurus who are experts in the art of seduction. Here is one of their training videos videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cgmIMvgYY0

Here is also the homepage of its chief guru: http://www.myspace.com/venusian_arts
A 35 year old magician from Toronto who calls himself Mystery and claims to be one of the worlds best ever pick up artists having bedded hundreds of women.

The Game was published in 2005 and held the amazon.com number one spot for a long time.
It's all old news, I'm afraid!
Mystery (Erik Von Markovik) and Neil Strauss seem to be working on a movie of the game apparently. They make $1000's out of pickup seminars. As do other pickup artists. Juggler's just been down in London, and Mystery has been working with Lovedrop across the States recently. There's always been a seduction community. Before Style and Mystery, there was Ross Jeffries... parodied by Tom Cruise in Magnolia.
I'm a big fan of Davd DeAngelo, who publishes self-help related material. He basically states that to become an attractive person, you need to set your mind straight and to become a solid complete person.
Most of this material is centred around attracting women in bars and clubs, but there is an online seduction community too.
DeAngelo has DVDs aimed towards online pickup, and there are other PUAs, such as Chet Rowland who specialise in picking up women online.
Check out http://www.chetsdatingsystem.com

It's all cheesy and manipulative if you ask me.
What calibre of person would fall for this nonsense? Certainly not the sort of person that has the potential to become a long-term partner. I still think DeAngelo's work has the right idea though!

I have heard of Ross Jeffries before him Eric Weber wrote the first how to pick up guide in 1970 entitled 'How To Pick Up Girls'. Ross Jeffries though founded the online seduction community when he published his book in 1992 about speed seduction a technique based on neural linguistic programming.

There are also hundreds of local lairs around the world which are groups of pick up artists who share and exchange advice and tactics and sometimes go out together to pick up women. One in London The London Seduction Society has been around since the late 1990s.

Greystone don't bother with this sort of stuff. Any approch which is not natural for a guy is easily spotted by women.

A interesting positive attiude really is all you need to chat up women I think.

Riding a bike doesn't come naturally to a child, until it is taught, so why not a better technique for attracting women ? It doesn't have to be about changing who you are, although perhaps even that can be fine tuned in some cases, just the presentation and delivery.

Women are brought up to be way more socially savvy than men through magazines like Just Seventeen, Cosmo and Heat, as well as books such as Fein + Schneider's The Complete Rules.
I think books like The Game and The Mystery Method are good because they allow the men for whom building strong relationships is important, to learn some vital skills in dating. We blokes all need a serious dating bootcamp. I certainly do!
And yes, Neil Strauss and Mystery are household names!

Dozens??? Big deal. If you are only in to bed women then just go to a professional. Save the money you spend on texts books and just pay them.

Professionals don't seem to be able to smell Eau de Desperate either. Which is handy.
