Well it is a valid point, when do you text contact phone? i left it a couple of days once and she wasn't happy with me, i thought i was giving her space. I felt if i texted the next day it would come across a clingly or desperate. i ended up leaving it a few days and came across as a wanker.

not sure i am getting this..lol Why would texting someone the next day appear as clingy or desperate? I mean, to me i would text someone back the next day to say how i enjoyed the previous night etc, but like keeping it all short and sweet..After all, if thats how i felt then i would say..I am a firm believer of communication..after all the most common reason for relationship break-ups is the lack of it..
I suppose really, it boils down to how you feel about things..each situation is different i suppose..but i myself would prefer to hear from someone the next day, or else i would be thinking..hmm,i wonder how things are being percieved?..what are they thinking?..Also how did things end on the date..surely this is a good indication on the next step..
suppose i am trying to say, i would listen to myself rather than try and work out the best course of action to take, because of some 'unwritten' dating rules..There seems to be too much emphasis in my opion on what you should and shouldnt do..the does and donts..

I couldn't agree more Kev, tho' I can also see now how some might leave it a day or 2.

But as you say, do what you feel is right, not what you think you should do. Chances are, if you're the type to contact the very next day and she/he doesn't like it, maybe you're not the right one for each other.

Well I asked the question on phoning, she said yea and she will let me know when she is ready. Is that a good sign you think?

well its a good sign in the fact that she didnt say 'no' straight off..But i do get the feeling you must be patient, be sure not to be seen as pushy or impatient and just go with the natural flow of things..what will be will be..
