Take one step at a time, and do increasingly daring things that are going to give you those positive experiences.

I was quite a shy kid growing up, a label I didn't like much, and so I so found ways that helped me. I tried to anything and everything to break that mould and grow my self confidence. People told me shyness was OK, and "cute", but I thought bollocks to that, I want to express myself better and feel better about myself. I didn't want to spend my life being shy and quiet. I'm still not great at chatting up women, probably the one area where I'm pretty self conscious, but I can at least manage it sometimes and I'm sure I'm getting better as time goes on. I'm certainly not worried about it like I used to be Very Happy.

hiya caliselina i have always been big like yourself and it took me years to like me now i am creeping up to 30 i love me for me and to hell with what everyone else say. As for clothes it does make me mad that they think cos ya big ya only what frumpy clothes one day clothe shops will relise that they would make more money by doing all the clothes they sell in a wider range of sizes.

Joinin the gym was the best thing i ever did i might not be any smaller but its boosted my confidence as well as my fitness levels. And as i am finding there are loads of men out there that like us big girls. Cant see the point in living life obsessing about things like food lifes to short. As for society labling people fat ect i like to say i'm not fat i am diet challanged.

It's perfectly on topic, larger ladies almost always have big boobs, anyway the "serious" talking folk seem all moody n stuff .. our chatter is much nicer & anyone can join in without being mad and angry Very Happy

Yeah, I second that. I was thinking about what NW had said today, and it dawned on me that his attitude doesn't just affect larger women, but also women of any size who get their heads messed up with eating disorders and other issues stemming from the sort of things he was saying, which reminded me of things I don't really like remembering to do with friends of mine, stuff that's quite upsetting. I'd probably have been meaner if I'd made that connection last night ...

I will cut alot of reading out for you.
