Hiya and welcome.

The only advice I can give is be yourself and try to go with the flow. The bonus with the internet is that you can get to know someone without the intimidation of being in a setting you aren't used to which helps to keep the nervousness at bay Very Happy

Why is it hard going to pubs?

It has always been the easiest thing in the world for me. Laughing

I'm with Moose on this, but then pubs isnt always the best place to find women.

Is it mixing you have problems with?
You could always take up a few interests, like dancing or drama etc. there are plenty of clubs that want men to help out.

Shyness is something you have to probably try and beat.
