10.04.2007, 18:01 quote

My camera is a compulsive liar. Speaking as the most unphotogenic man on the planet, it never ceases to amaze me how my camera makes me look like some sort of rent boy or child molestor. I know the haircut does me no favours, but I've got no option on that score. Somebody needs to develop some kind of anti-ming filter. Quickly.

As for voices; the huskier the better. Its just wrong how powerful an effect they have. They should carry a health warning. Something along the lines of 'Warning: This voice may lead to priapism' should do it.

I seem to look better out of focus.
I suggest rapid shot mode. Got good odds of spotting one that doesn't make you cringe. Smile

I think men generally are unphotogenic.

Women on the over hand...tend to look good no matter what.

All people look a tiny bit different when a photo is taken of them.

When you see someone in real life, they appear in 3D so when you look at their face you can see the depth and length of their face. But when you look at a photo of them the depth and length of their face is shown in 2D. so the person comes across as slightly heavier and broader because of the flat perspective. They say the camera adds 10 lbs and thats why.

The slight extra broadness can throw a new slant onto people's faces, make them look tougher, sleeker, better, more sinister whatever.

Also when it comes to having a photo taken of you, a lot of people are too aware of being watched by the camera and look at it too seriously. The awareness of being watched can stop people being themselves sometimes. Hence sometimes the boring head shots. Thats why photographers are always portrayed in films saying stuff like 'show me the love', 'give me anger', 'show me the tiger' etc etc etc so they can make the model less aware of the camera.
