This conversation came up at work today and I fancied hearing more opinions.
Being quite a heavily tattooed lady myself, I was wondering how many 'normal' men are in to tattoos on girls?
(I also have lots of piercings and a split tongue, but that's a whole other subject! lol)

I knew a really sexy drummer once ... she had some piercings and some tatoos - and I really liked here very much. Then her tattoos started to get more and more and then they covered her whole back...arms..legs. And at some point I though: "She was such a beautiful girl - the last tattoo spoilt it all". And after I thought that a couple of other tatoos followed. 5 years later she got wrinkles, bad teeth and dark circles around the eyes....
So, from the once "sexy drummer girl with tattoos" turned to a "woman with tatoos" that looked a bit done.
So I think tattoos are great if they emphasize certain parts of your body and make it look even better...the artistic challenge is to recognize the beauty of a body first...and then to find the right tattoo(s) at the right places without hiding/covering the sexy parts of the body.
Especially girls with a great body should be careful not to exaggerate - because nothing looks better then a nice skin. If you can't see anything of the skin, this also appears less attractive.
Naked women always look more sexy then women in clothes. Some tattoos appear like "clothes" and cover up the body....

I suppose I never really think of tattoos as 'clothing' so much as skin. I see your point though.
I prefer when people come to the studio and ask for larger pieces becuase then I can work with the tattoo so it fits the contours of body perfectly.
When people get tiny little ones done, sometimes there's a danger of them looking a bit like fridge magnets that have been slapped on!

Oh dear that would be me then
Even though i only have a couple of smallish tattoos i was talking to a guy recently who i had lost touch with and he did not seem pleased that i had had a couple of tattoos done

Yes, that make sense.
So the perfect tattoo would probably cover the whole body but be "subtle" at the same time....
Personally I also don't like tattoos that always consist of the typical set of tattoo colours"...and if lots of different types of tattoos and symbols/pictures are mixed.
I think the number of colours should also be restricted to just one or only a few that match to the person.
I would also advise many people who think about getting a tattoo, to get a non-permanent tattoo first and see whether they can imagine to live with it the rest of their life...and make sure they have enough money left ofter for a laser treatment for the case they have to or want to remove it later on (e.g. sometimes people need to get it removed for a job etc...or just don't like it anymore 5 years later because people change and never stay exactly the same as they get older).

What do you mean by non-permanant tattoo?
Becuase other than those transfers, and henna, they dont really exist.
I've hear of semi-permanent tattoos, they're meant to only last about 4-5years, but that's a load of nonsence. They never fade out completely, and they usually start to fade a few months after getting it done. So even if it did fade out, that's over 4 and a half years of having a blurry faded bad tattoo.
If you want a tattoo, make sure you KNOW you want it.

I personally don't have any tattoos but I like them on a girl. Its f sexy especially when there in nice places of the body. A tattoo really expresses a person and there personality. The more there are its like you are wearing clothes in some cases thats quite kool. But what happens when your bored of them and want to change them , can you?
