does a tan make people more attractive?

i think a light tan can look nice on some people. me however i look sily with a tan as i have what the experts refer to as english rose skin tone. I just tend to go lobster in the sun anyway.

Nope pale and interesting gets my vote

Some people can carry off pale skin, others can't. A bit of a tan can make you healthier looking. Even if it is only papering over the cracks.

Given the choice I'd have to say tanned though. At least that way you know they get outside once in a while.

i think a slight tan can give people a glow, but some people take it too far, with self tanning and sunbeds..
i prefer the natural look

I'm undecided on tans. Cause Glasgow it seems has the biggest concentration of tanning salons per head of poplulation and people walking about Glasgow in the middle of winter with a fresh tan on them-its nothing new!!! Yeah it can make someone look healthy but look at "Tanny (tommy) Sheridan" he has an all year tan and still looks like a tit!!!

I have to agree. Sometimes tan looks good, but if ur in England, and have a great tan, its quite obviously fake, which is then a sign of vanity, and i dont have time for vain ppl.

Pale and interesting every time. I hate to see orange people...although some guys look good when they have just come back from a holiday all brown!

I'm pale. I mean burn in the sun then peel pale.
And ANY fake tans makes me look orange, so I just don't bother. I can't even use foundation in the winter because it looks orange.

Definitely tan, but only from the sun or sunbed.
