Has anyone had a successful meeting/relationship/friendship curtosy of this site?

Conversely - bad experiences? - a name and shame so to speak - proposals of marrige? Been stood up? Met someone and they had lied about themselves....

well i had met 1 lad off here!! and went 2 my 1st rave wiv him!!! had a fab time!! now were best mates!!

From Flirtbox and other dating sites Ive met a few girls and we get on really well - I tend to e-mail alot before meeting and find out about the person well that way first.

Its odd though, Ive also been stood up and dumped virtually and thats strange.

It all relative to what you call success though - a partner for life, a bit of fun or a really good friend at the other end of the country.

well basically it started when my ex-girlfriend and i decided to look for a partner to join our threesome. She met a lovely girl through the girlsweb site, and now shes like my best mate. Sadly i broke up with my ex just before the fun started.

But the girl we met is such a good friend now.

ive met up with a few people and havent had a bad experience yet.
like spdarkhorse, i do be sending emails for a good while before i decide to meet....lessens the chance of having a bad or pear shaped experience

sounds good - although i've been reg'd since 2004 i completely forgot about this site..

then after a 2 year sabatical i got online again - and i have to agree with all you guys....I have met some really cool people here..

keep the stories coming folks.....its all good feedback for others....

I'm fairly new to flirtbox.

So far I only got two mails from some girl in Essex.

Since then, nothing. Not from anyone.

i now email/msg some people on here regularly and have made some good friends, i have had proposals "ooh yuck on some", and fairly got very close to a few when i then had to make decisions on which i really wanted to stay talking to, but i chose the one i met on a poker site. I think the big distance between some of us made it hard for me to choose, one was in Australia, one England, one in canada and of course the one i did choose was here in the US

i met one guy who i got on with really well, we had a few dates, i thought it was going well but then we went weird and we havent really spoken since. hope i can still class him as a mate though, not sure though.
and i had a couple of dates with this other guy who i still c now and again, just not to often, wish i did see him more, but if it was ment to be then we would.

Having been on lots of chat/dating sites & deciding to give it all up as a lost cause... Grazzo messaged me & i thought.... what the heck.. one last chat!........after only 2 weeks we met in March this year... & its been the most amazing year. We started off slow.. with a couple of dates.. but long emails & phone calls.

Then within 2 months.. we knew we were soulmates.. & now we are living together... never had a row... never had crossed words... everything appears just perfect.
I love his family.... he loves mine. Hes taken on all my baggage without a problem & is willing to take on considerable responsibility just to be with me.

I guess we just got lucky, but it DOES happen.
