not sure if this is the right area for this, but hrere goes.

I've been a subscribing (paying) member of a popular on-line dating service for about the same time i have been signed up to flirtbox, and i have to say, my success rate at getting dates with the on-line service has been about 200% better than it has been on here.

Any thoughts why? I think one factor maybe that if people are paying thay may feel more inclined to get the most out of it.

I've been on both paying and non-paying. I've had equal 'success' on both. ie.. i got dates. And whether by coincidence or design, most of the nicest ones were from the free sites.

Personally, that's exactly why I like it on here.
I moved to hampshire 2 yrs ago not knowing anyone and now the people I know here you can count on one hand, and the people I call friends you can count on.........one finger.
All my family and friends are flung across the world, so I rely on the internet for my 'social network' anyhow, and flirtbox being part of that is something I enjoy and appreciate.
If I meet 'one special somebody' in the process, all well and good, but to be honest it's not my main reason for being a member of flirtbox.
