4. SO MANY PEOPLE have 'liars' on their 'dislikes', be original.

Not everybody can be original though can they? If they all do not want somebody to cheat and lie to them about that slice of bacon which fell down the side of the cooker, then they should put that on their profile surely? The profile is to give an essence of who you are, so if they are not being original in your eyes then maybe that is a good indicator that they might not be for you?

your missing the first point, everybody lies.... so saying i hate liars is like saying i hate humanity.

Yeah I probably did miss that point, but perhaps they actually just mean they don't want people to tell them that they love them, when really, they don't. That kind of lying. It is natural not to want to be made a fool of.

Oh, I get it! This is all deeply metaphorical! Why don't we just paint a picture of someone looking at something instead??

That sounds too much like art, it will never win the Turner prize

I think you missed my point.

You had one? It just seemed like a load of language to me.

Being pedantic is just being accurate and thinking accuracy is better than inaccuracy, surely?

Is it? or is it about being anally retentive and petty? ala Norris Cole from Coronation Street. Maybe you ain't so "NEW WORLD" and young as you make yourself out to be huh?

For this irriating quirk in people to be discouraged would be to encourage an Idiocracy type regression. The more a person aims for perfection - the closer they get, just by the nature of making an effort.

But how can you measure perfection? all you have to compare it to is imperfection. Who decides what is perfect and what isnt? Just more language....

In short, surely it's better to aim for perfection than merely accepting everything as it is or was. Why not, kind of thing..? As long as you are self-aware, pedantry is just being helpful =)

Is it? It is just plain boring and anal to some!
as long as you are self aware? Everybody thinks they are self aware, but one persons self awareness is another persons naivety. Just language again zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
