Hey guys - my 2nd post here, so prepare for some more rambling!

I went speed dating last week, mainly cause i knew i'd be at a loose end and i saw a special offer and thought why not! Went along on my own and was nervous at first but had a brilliant time. Met lots of girls and there were a few i got on really well with - laughing, joking, exchanging compliments etc. Left feeling quite optimistic and actually looking forward to seeing 1 or 2 girls again.

However when it came to put my ticks in i found that noone else had ticked me, which was a little depressing! Just quite cant understand it when i thought things went so well, but guess you just gotta keep trying! Just looking to get any of your speed dating experiences and how i could have got the wrong end of the stick so badly!!

Thanks!

Alex

Do I make a serious comment first or a flippant one? Hmmm Serious I think

What was it like going there on your own? I get a feeling from what Ihave seen and read that people tend to go with a friend, and I was wondering what it was like just going on your own - for example, if you were with someone you can chat at the bar together, if you are alone, you look like billy no mates at the bar, was the atmosphere before relaxed and stuff like that? What did you do apart from the whole sitting talking for 3 minutes? Was there a social event afterwards? Or did people run off home

Im not really interested but I did consider going once, and like all new things I Wasnt sure what to think of it so chiockened out from going

Why wouldn't they tick you?

And now the flippant... Ive had a couple of speed dates - the quickest was when she ran away halfway through the first drink!

This is why I won't try it!!

A friend has suggested we go for a laugh..but I'd just end up being annoyed at people!

Speeddating does not mean you meet someone faster, it just means the people who runs those events make money faster...
