a lot people met someone from here (>1000). Have a look at the testimonials page! Not all testimonials are up there and maybe only 1% of the people send some feedback....the others are too lazy or dont want to make it "public".

faceparty is also quite busy, but the search is not very good...and most on there are "children" , and not for dating. the older ones usually are in a relationship or just there to kill some time (similiar to love@lycos).

loopy love is made by the same ppl as girlsdateforfree but i think women have to pay on loopy love whereas they dont on gdff. There's lots of dodgy foreign women on gdff tho; never got any "fake" messages

Wow, loads of sites I've not really looked at there.

I've made accounts on a few sites. Can't really remember most of them though aff sticks out because one of the websites I go on always has adverts from that place. I'm not sure whether its an advantage or not but the adverts showed people closer to home when we changed Internet providers recently. Instead of Leeds/Sheffield I now get Blackburn and Manchester. I had a look at the website but it seemed like you have to pay to do anything useful and its definitely centered around 'encounters' rather than relationships!

I haven't looked on Faceparty for ages. The only useful thing was the dry humour of the Grim Rita..heh. Still a single gimmick isn't enough to make a site successful.

I did look at redlight at one point, but it wouldn't install on my computer (I install programs to a second drive as my OS partition is limited). Noone bothered to respond when I asked them how to make the installer output to a different directory other than default so I never bothered going back.

using myspace for dating is a bit a waste of time, the same as on faceparty in my opinion (if you are male). it is like searching for a needle in a haystick. 90% are bored 15 year olds

love@lycos lost lots of money when the introduced membership fees.

often women get free memberships on expensive dating sites...as there is a lack of women...so sometimes women are still on there even if they are not single anymore as they receive "free memberships" to extend their subscription . Who wants to date men who are so desperate that they spend an awful lot of money on a dating site? I dont think young women would find anyone on there easily...most of the guys on premium dating sites are 40-50+ and seperated or even married.

I tried yahoo and match.com once...as well as some expensive dating site in Germany....I always thought they have less problems with spam/scam profiles compared to free sites - but unfortunately this is not true - Nigerians and Russians noticed that those who are willing to pay lots of membeship fees are also more likely to transfer money for eye operations or the like....and switched from free dating sites to premium dating sites - so lots of them have credit card addresses in the UK and USA and also manage to register on the those dating sites....and it seems like they are quite successfull to trick people on there.

So premium dating sites dont have any advantages - they just cost money. They have problems with fake profiles and women on there and women are not more "serious" there asthey often received a free membership....and are often not interested in dating either.

Another thing I noticed is that there are hardly any members that are able to read your messages or to reply on dating sites that charge membership fees... but you usually only find out until you have made a non-refundable payment.....

Always be careful if a dating site wont let you browse member profiles before you join....

p.s.: flirtbox is the 5th biggest dating site in the uk....a lot of the ones you mentioned have almost no relevant traffic from the Uk, e.g. Traffic Rank for clubcowgomoo.com: 5,919,654 = dead

if anyone wants to get more responses on there...just upload a video profile or be more active in the forums....and dont "spam", always send individual messages to women - they dont like to receive messages that sound too general. read their profiles and try to find common interests etc....
