an update then ...

I was stood up - lots of contact before the meet - and I was worried that the distance meant that it would be a disaster if we did not get on - also I had made it clear that while I considered myself free, I was still married, had agreed to stay home for a couple of years for the kids sake, so would not be free for a longer term relationship for a good while.

I was persuaded that it was fine, the other person was happy to spend the money to travel, we spoke about where we would eat, what we would do etc - then almost 24 hrs before the meet - no contact, response to texts or calls. Was not too worried, as this person had told me often that she didn't respons as she was out of credit or battery was dead.

So - day of the meet - texted to get train times - no response - texted again - no response - later phoned both her numbers - no response - got the impression she was not gonna come - but as she is young was worried she might have screwed up - so waited at train station for an hour - clearly not going to happen. Texts and calls still not answered so I message her best friend, and someone else from flirtbox who i thought might know if at least she was safe

the result tonight ....

she owes her friend lots of money, has been avoiding her so as not to repay, and her friend tells me she has been with another guy, fleecing him for money for the past 2 days - which is why she has not replied.

I was not disappointed she did not meet - but that she did not even tell me - before would have been better - but did not bother answering messages asking if she was ok ..

I have not named names - despite being tempted .... but Toby - she is a mod in one of your forums - you may wish to consider whether this is a position she deserves ...

PS - her friend now tells me she seems to have changed her name on FB ?

sorry for the rant -was so worried - as severl people will attest - and now think this person may well warrant removal according to the same criteria as you might remove the African spammers etc ??

I'm sorry to hear all of this. I think I actually have an idea of who it is. I could be wrong.

Personally, I would have named and shamed. I guess you're just a nicer person than I am.

I felt like it but thought I should behave better than she did - she is on the phone to her pal now - trying to make things better - the message she sent me ? "marry you stan"

seems she has even forgotten thats my nickname - she should have known my real name well enough were she to a serial scammer without the memory to pull if off ???

still will not name names - she is too young to be held entirely to blame - .......... wierd I know given you are even younger than you -but then maturity is more than age .....

This girl is stupid. Seriously.

Young or not, she is to blame. She's an adult, she knew what she was doing.
