Ha ha, that's surely a case of misplaced "dumbeuphoria"! That's what CMISO was saying?

I do not think he and I were saying the same thing. He is saying he 'loves' it when 'people abroad' (I'm using all these apostrophes for you) say they love 'the English accent' EVEN THOUGH THERE ISN'T JUST ONE. Implying that if you say you love the (eg)'Spanish accent' - there is? If my interpretation of that sentence is incorrect - please help me. I am a retard.

sc0ttie man - you need to relax a little. Reeling off a list of the things I've done since posting on a forum is just strange. I judge people in the same intrinsically human way everyone does and if I said I don't I was obviously lying to make a point, hm? I'm judging you right now. As you apparently are me.

Any remark I've made has generally been based wholly in fact - or at least my interpretation. And who the marry are you to question that? If I've called someone old or ugly it's probably because they are. I'm not calling young attractive people old or ugly am I?

I'm using my discretion anyway - I think especially Zacktelstar, Handsel, Mirrorpool and Annmarie will and have given as good as they get and I have respect for them because of that - I open myself up to brutal honesty this way, and I like that more. Forums can't all just be hugs and love, surely?

THEY'RE JUST LETTERS WRITTEN DOWN BY SOME PLEB, YEAH

and I'm not anywhere near fucking posh, I'm from Luton you idiot. You are getting intelligence confused with snobbery... I think =)

Nobody chooses my accent on here but fortunately for me they seem to love both my accent and softness of tone when we meet or talk on the phone.......more pleased really 'cos I've never liked it myself!

You've got it wrong again numbeuphoria, he DID say that some english people say the same about America so you're just digging yourself deeper and deeper.

It annoys me when people (normally american) think I'm scottish due to my "Geordie" accent, and it's even funnier when they ask if I know people in London, you know, with England being soooo small!

If you insist that you are fair enough.

The final paragraph I wrote that you clipped above indicated that people here are just as guilty and yes I'm adequately aware that other countries have wildly different languages within them. You assume too much and jump in heavy footed.

Plus we are talking about accents not languages so when people over here are talking of other nationalities accents it is how they speak English that they are finding attractive on the whole. Rather than the sound of a language they don't probably (given how little languages are studied here) understand. These seem to be more general than how they speak their own language.

Even someone rather close to you thinks that other nationalities English accents are distinctive. Wink

French (of course) and Danish men have incredibly sexy accents - of course when they have a deep voice, as with any accent.

Eastern European, especially Polish and Albanion women have very sexy voices. I like a husky female voice. Ghanaian also.

of British accents, well spoken lonodon/se can't really go wrong

Mine is the latter. Cool

Of course it depends where they picked up English as Jan Molby for one developed quite a good scouse accent over the years.

Back in the early nineties I had several Americans wanting me to sell them day coach trips to see "Glasgow, Edinburgh and the Highlands" from London and had quite a job persuading them that the companies don't run them due to the time and distances involved. Some wanted to be back in time to go to the theatre.

Well I am almost Horizontal whilst writing this so I am pretty relaxed and laid back right now.

Is it really? Ok I can live with that, it bothers me very little what people who don't know me think of me. I was listing it because having been here a few years now, I notice every so often somebody comes along who posts rude personal comments like you have, which are very unfriendly and not conducive to having a friendly discussion, they then usually try to justify it by calling it honesty when really it is probably more like attention seeking Laughing

I judged you as arrogant, since so far all you seem to do is insult people and try to prove that you are really intelligent and everybody else here are idiots. Even just by their music taste! Laughing
But maybe you are not so bad, as the place needs livening up from time to time Wink Laughing

Who the marry am I to question your interpretation of fact? Well, when you post on a public forum, anybody is allowed to respond to your posts, so if I want to, I will. It is up to you if you respond to it, but since you have, so kindly, I thought I better clear that one up for ya Laughing

I never called you posh either, I said the words you wrote at the end of your post reminded me of that comedy scene with that character. So even though you wrote me off as an idiot because you got the wrong end of the stick, I don't mind, but I didn't get intelligence confused with snobbery at all, so it is you that probably looks an idiot for that assumption. Laughing

Anyway, I have said before on here, nobody comes off looking good from internet drama.
That is all. Rolling Eyes

When I was a teenager, one of the drinks I used to drink was a MackieCider. They wouldn't have a clue nowadays Very Happy
They havent got the range of drinks they used to have in pubs, not around here anyway. Just a couple Lagers and John Smiths.

I've just remembered, milk stout was what Ena Sharples and her two old girls [minnie cawdwall??] used to drink in corri in the 60's.

Right - I was talking about voices then I guess; I'm not as focused as you guys obviously. I wasn't being specific but I prefer the sound of the foreign accents I mentioned in their own language, rather than how they attempt to get their tongues round a silly language like English. (know that pisses you pats off eh) Also, I didn't just say other countries have other languages, I also said they regional accents. So we're clear.

sc0ttie - I liked the tone of that response much more. I tend you be quite reactionary, you see, and admittedly I can get THE WRONG END OF THE STICK OH NO sometimes. Honest I did not claim to be however, I called myself a liar! Perhaps personal insults aren't necessary but I only aim that kind of thing at people who seem adult enough to view it as nothing more than silly banter (WHOOPS). As I said, it's more about garnering a genuine response from people rather than pseudo-regulated arse-licking shit about socks and panic at the disco or whatever. Beats being a boring bastard. I get off on being insulted anyway, you know?

You got me on the 'who the marry are you?' bit. If you notice though - it's a question, I asked it because I am aware of how posting on a public forum and expecting responses works. Ja?

Arrogant attention seeker? I'm writing a big chunk of meaningless garbage for all and sundry to read - what do you think Sherlock?

AMERICA DOESN'T COUNT AS ANOTHER COUNTRY, IT'S LIKE A BIG BASTARD ENGLISH TUMOR. HAHA.

I know people aren't thick enough to think America has one big accent - come on guys, have some self esteem! I meant languages we islanders can't understand. They have regional accents. CAN ANYONE DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY FULLY UNDERSTAND ME? no-one actually has yet.

I wish someone would say 'you got it right again, numbeuphoria' whenever I say something correct.

Oh well, any attention is good attention eh?

The reason I ignored your feeble responses was because I can't distinguish your neck from your chin.

I've been brought up not to trust this in a man.
