Since he was your boyfriend, wasn't it up to you whether or not he got away with it?

They only get away with it if you let them.

If a guy cheats on me, he's out of the door, and i'd expect the same. No matter how many 'i love you's (s)he says. If (s)he cheats, (s)he obviously doesn't.

Men dont get away with it, Things like cheating always come back and bite them on the butts eventually.
And pretty much could be said for women too.

People only gegt away with it if the other partner lets them.
Simple as that.
It is always difficult when you find out a partner has cheated on you and sometimes due to one reason or another the cheated on can make the wrong decision. but eventually the thought of the betrayal and lost trust eats away at you till you eventually have to snap.
I was 8 months pregnant when i was cheated on, and thought hell ill stick with it. Biggest mistake of my life.
Everytime i looked at him i could see her ect ect eventually i had enough and finnished it. but if i had of had any common sense i would have shown him the door immediatly.

As i said people only get away with It if you let them.

And i am sorry but i have to stick up for the male society now but from all the people i know and concidering that prob 80% of my friends are male, it has been mostly the female of the speacies that have been the cheater.

Studies have shown that when a person believes their partner to be cheating 85% of women are correct comparred to 50% of men being correct.
And that is solely because men are not as intuitve as women are there fore most men are blissfully unawere that while there wife is at yoga she is infact having a compleatly different type of cardio work out.

I dont condone cheating at all, in fact i think it shows the cheater to be a very weak indervidulalwho has lack of self respect and disipline

While your BF seems like a serial offender (lol) 3 times is a bit high, as the other girl said (flower) people mostly cheat on you if they can- meaning if you let them.

But... I cant help but wonder with the " casual" statement.
PSML- seems you got the wrong end of the stick- in this messy correlation:
BF- Family!
or Extended family. maybe?

Could it sound better to say:
Family members/ My Best friend, Cheated on me- with my Boyfried !!!!!

And I feel totally pissed of, angry, mad, etc (dont burn the house down tho) that way you`ll feel more calm with the situation later on, will keep future BF`s away (far away) from some "charitable" members of your family, and understand that if a family temptress- tempts your BF`s it isnt entirely the Bf`s fault.

The reasons could be many; why they did do just that, 'chip-on-da-shoulders", trying to make you mad, vengeance, sibling (auntie-lol) rivalry, love-hate relations with the Best Friend, or pure temporay Lust.

While you can drop (or keep) your Best friend ( the bitch- lmao) how can one deal with a family member (lack of experience, here) I simply dont know.

This way seems more realistic- if a family member of mine- cheated with my GF- I wont go and ask for "damages" on her doorstep, but on my family- or maybe its just me.

Wink
P.S. While he cheated 3 times, has been established- numbers dont add up...
1. sis niece
2. Best friend
3. ...and who`s the 3-rd person... we dont know it yet.

Can you tell us who?
Cool

I figure this is a discussion. I'll put forward the fact that technically, as a species, we're not designed to spend our entire lives with a single person. It's just that our society has decided it so.

We're attracted to people who are new to our lives, or are considered by us to be "attractive".

I'm not justifying cheating really, I think my arguement is more against a monogomous relationship. Which is odd, because i've had several excellent relationships.

Cheating isn't usually a sign you don't love someone, it's just letting your lust overcome you, it's dishonest to your partner and you'll usually get caught. I'm just trying to explain why some people do it. People ALWAYS say "there's underlying problems in the relationship". But that's just ridiculous, sometimes we just think with the wrong part of our bodies.
