hiya nelboy from one newb to another

Hi again and thanks people for the welcome!!! nice to know there are some normal people out there, and guys who can be bothered to say hi too! fill a bus/train full of strangers and nobody speaks.... yet a bar or a forum and the conversations just seem to flow..... whats that all about???

Hiya nelboy - fairly new here myself, but for me the forums are it, some nice people here (but please don't think any of them are 'normal'!!).

I think the bus/train thing depends on where you are - bigger cities and towns people are inhibited in a situation like that - afraid of being embarrased, don't want to get involved, part of the collective fear of strangers, just plain knackered. I still find peoples behaviour in a lift funny. With booze, or the partial anonymity of a forum or chatroom, inhibitions loosen.
