I just wouldnt have a diary .... scares me thought of someone reading my thoughts

If I didn't write things - or my feelings - down, I would go mad.

I found an old diary i used to keep when i was much younger in the attic recently, to be honest what scared me was reading back on it and seeing how much of an idiot i was. I felt so incredibly old after it as well. Im not sure the nostalgia trip was worth it. Although at the time it was fun venting fury on pen and paper.

I have kept diaries since I was 11. I have them all stored somewhere in the house. My younger cousin found them the other week, and tried reading them...The earlier ones are in English, but the rest are in Latvian. So even if somebody else finds them, they won't be able to read them. (Unless it's my dad..and he doesn't live here.)

On a point of curiosity, would your cousin have recognised the girl in your early diaries with the person you are now, or have you changed completely?

How do you mean?

My cousin knew the diaries were mine when she read them(I never used to put my name in them for some strange reason?!)
She came downstairs and said 'Laura, I found your old diaries' I was like 'well, how did you know they were mine'
She said she could just tell.

I guess it means you haven't changed much then. It must have be nice for her to see the similarities between you at a different time of your life and the person you are now. Personally I found that i had changed completely when i reread my old one. Im not quite as cocky or as idiotic (although the latter one is debateable Very Happy )

I have changed quite a bit. I'm more opinionated now, and a lot more sarcastic!

The only thing that's different between then and now is that I didn't bother with boyfriends and such back then! I wish it had stayed that way..lol.

She would tell the difference if she had read my recent diary.

Good point!

When she's older, I may tell her about them and what's written in them. Not while she's still young, though.

True, I never deny my past. But I do hope like hell the question never arises in the first place, which it inevitably does though...

That's why I didn't tell him!
There are three things you should NEVER ask a woman:
Her weight - It's just offensive.
How many people she's had sex with - I don't think I need to explain this one.
and finally...her bra size - Unless you are planning on buying her some nice underwear.
