Some people dont like to post a picture due to fear of rejection.
Rejection is one of my bigger fears and thats probably why im still single and rotting away at the ripe age of almost 27

To be honest does it really matter if they have a picture or not? a pic only proves what you look like and if youre only interested in looks then your a heartless shallow person.

People have minds too and all too often that is forgotton about because of carnal instinct.

This being the hive of scum and villainy known as the internet I can't see how a picture matters so much. There are a lot of bullshitters out there (photoshop and a flattering angle can work wonders). If looks are so important I suggest you cut to the chase and meet them within a couple of days, or just don't bother using the internet for this sort of thing.

I've used the internet for meeting people in the past, though not for 'dating', and I'm continually shocked at the amount of people who look nothing like their description or whatever photo they've used. We're not just talking slight discrepancies here either. We're talking photos from several years or stone ago etc.

well each to their own i guess, id rather reply to a message with a photo tbh as as much as some people like to deny that physical attraction is not important, it actually plays a lot more important role that we might actually be aware in our interaction with other people, be it on dating sites, in a shop or in the pub etc, theres always alot going on unconsciously, but like i said, each to their own and we are all free to beleive what we want to beleive

I don't disagree with you at all m8. I'm a great believer in looks being a foot in the door (you can't escape human nature). But I've learned over the years that some people will go to great lengths to camouflage themselves when they're on the internet. Call it lack of self-confidence or whatever (God knows I still suffer from it), but it happens more often than you think.

Personally if theres a bit of interest there I'd like to see them person. You really can't go by a few random pixels. It could be anything.

its always good to see what people look like... cos you tend to build a image in your head..

but when i look at profiles i look at what theyve written and base my interest on that.. and if they look good then bonus..
