isnt as easy as that at all! tkes along time after a long term partner. makes you feel shit about yourself ad not good enough thats propbly not the right thing to say but its true, its soon passes though when u gain others interest and gain the confidence back

as far as i see it it's his loss because if he did not have the strength to be honest with your daughter then he was a lier to himself so ego he will never feel or see what she had to give . So tell her to keep her heart honest and she will soon find someone to take care of it

It may take a little while but she'll realise that she's much better off without him. I'm only 17 but recently went through something very similar so I know how she's feeling right now. But give it time and she'll get over it. xx

This thread seems to be from last June, so I hope she's already over it.

I know what she is going through. I've never been in a relationship where I haven't been cheated on. My last one, I was the sideline of his relationship with his fiance who was pregnant and I found out from my brother, but the lad admitted it to me. I took alot of time to get over this. You need to tell her that it is going to be painful and hard to get over (unfortantely) but honestly with timem, it WILL pass. I was always the one who couldnt get over things like this, but when you think this person was sopposed to love you.. is it not better they are out of your life now? You dont want to be with somebody so uncaring and shallow anyway! Although this wont stop her feeling what she is feeling, tell her to keep her chin up, stay strong, and realise that this guy aint worth her time or tears, and although he has caused her pain, she has to make sure he does not cause future problems in her life, and make herself determined to not let him do this! I'm one of the WORST for getting over relationships like this, but once you have got through the pain of that, you realise you can pretty much face an emotional pain in the future Smile Good Luck to her:)
