I think that maybe there are just a higher proportion of single mums on dating sites. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are looking for a dad for their kids.
Being a single mum is a full time job. Maybe they don't get to go out as often as they would like and see dating sites as an effective way to meet new people?
If there is a higher percentage of single mums on dating sites, it stands to reason that you will meet more of them here than you would in day to day life.
By the way, I don't know if it's just that particular photo, but to me you look a lot like John Locke of 'Lost'. I hear he's a bit of a (for want of a better term) f*nny magnet
