As I dont really know anything abou that person until I get going that seems to make sense to me!?

maybe try sending a joke, so then they would have to reply to get the answer, cos that would bug the hell out of me.. plus its a nice icebreaker

in my experience the joke approach has worked too..

I have tended to break the ice with a joke and its a great way to meet people.

Also, if you realise that many of the ladies here get inundated with mail and 90% will be "hiya fancy a chat" or "fancy a shag" - advice - be original, witty and comment on something in their profile - books they read, films, music, likes and dislikes - focus on a shared interest.

You're right to - the girlies tend to do their research and might pick up on a particular gent on the forums - i met one fab lady this way - i complained about the length of womens msgs i think and she sent me an essay! -

we txt and email each other every day - so success can be found.

Also, i have had a lot of feedback on the green t-shirt - thanks girls its going in the bin!!
